You're My Rib

A couple of weeks ago in church, we watched a short video of my Pastors and they kind of shared their story about when they met. Well, one of the things they said just hit me so personally, I wanted to do a picture.

My Pastor had asked (his now wife), "Aren't you afraid you're never going to get married?"

And they made jokes about how that was a pretty dumb question and sounded kind of insensitive.

But he said in the interview: "But she-without a blink- turned to me and she looked me in the eye and she said, "No, John. I know I was taken from some man's rib." And the moment she said that, it was like I felt this ache in my side. It was almost physical. And it was like my eyes opened and I was like, 'you're my rib. I don't want anybody else.'"

And he compared it to feeling like Adam when he woke up and saw Eve. He knew she was his wife.

I really did tear up when they said that. I've never heard a Biblical reference sound so beautiful!! And it captured my view so well. It was so encouraging to hear that... And so like I said, I wanted to do a quick picture.
